Rod Blagojevich is only the latest certifiably crooked statewide politician to seduce Illinoisans into inattention, apathy, resignation that ... this is how it is here. Our state's collective oblivion is a soul-crushing legacy of public corruption, and Blagojevich gladly exploited it.
